    WHAT DOES A PERSONAL TRAINING SESSION INVOLVE?
FITNESS CHECK

This is a test of your overall fitness level, using various methods such as a step-test; blood pressure, weight, height and heart rate measurement; Body Mass Index, lifestyle assessment etc . This gives a good indication of where you are at the moment.

YOUR AIMS AND GOALS
Everybody is different, and you may have one or more of these aims -

Lose weight / Gain muscle / Become stronger / Become fitter / Become trimmer / Have more energy / Have a healthier lifestyle / Have a better posture / Feel less stressed / Get better at your sport etc.

Whatever your goals are, what is needed is a professionally designed programme which takes into account your likes and dislikes, your lifestyle, and the amount of time you can devote to activity.

YOUR LIFESTYLE & DIET
If your aim is to lose weight, then what you need is a combination of physical activity and the right nutrition. A healthy balanced diet is essential - organic is even better! We can look at your eating habits over time and suggest improvements both in WHAT you eat and also WHEN you eat.

PROGRAMME DESIGN
To be effective, a programme has to work your whole body as well as your heart and lungs. Changes have to be introduced gradually so your system gets used to them —no jumping in at the deep end! Whether you are overweight, totally unfit, want to improve your overall fitness level or want to improve in some aspect of your chosen sport, I can design an effective programme for you.

ONE -TO- ONE PT SESSIONS
Many people need the motivation of someone there to monitor, encourage and cajole them.

EQUIPMENT USED & WHERE TO TRAIN
Mat, Swiss ball, dumb-bells, dyna-bands, benches. Occasional use of commercial gym (by arrangement). I can train you at your own home; or at a selected gym; at my own premises; or outside if preferred.
